Summit Electrical have been awarded the electrical design & build contract for Geberit’s new headquarters in Warwick.
Following its acquisition of Twyford Bathrooms last year and as part of Geberit’s ambitious growth plans, building work has begun on the manufacturer‘s new headquarters.
Geberit moved to its current bespoke built offices just seven years ago and is now building a headquarters that is twice the size. A significant investment for the company, the new head office is conveniently situated on the Tournament Fields business park, adjacent to the company’s current building.
The ground floor of the new building will be home to the Geberit and Twyford Training Academy where customers can attend free workshops to gain hands on experience with the latest plumbing and piping systems. There will also be a showroom featuring the latest bathroom designs and technology, while the second floor will host Geberit’s central operations.
The new development, designed by Warwick-based Corstorphine Wright Architects, will see the creation of 30 new jobs across marketing, customer service, finance and technical support areas of the business. An official ground-breaking ceremony took place at the site of the new building in February, with the new headquarters due for completion in January 2017.
New Contract - University of Wolverhampton

Summit Electrical have been awarded the Electrical Contract for the University of Wolverhampton’s new £10.1 million Science, Technology and Prototyping Centre at the University of Wolverhampton Science Park providing capacity for up to forty new businesses focused on science and technology based activities.
The centre will form a new frontage to the existing science park and the new state-of-the-art, three storey development will offer 4,000 square metres of space and feature high quality offices, laboratories and workshops, as well as a café and space for parking.
The new centre will offer unrivalled specialist space to scientific-based businesses wanting to develop and enhance their research and development activities – a resource currently unavailable in the Black Country. The design of the building will offer laboratories of varying size and will include facilities that can be hired by the day, week or month in order to provide short-term solutions to science based businesses.
University of Wolverhampton Science Park actively encourage collaboration within its tenant community, the main circulation areas of the new building will be a “street” of shared workspace and atrium, which will afford more opportunities for interaction and partnerships.
The University of Wolverhampton Science Park is currently home to over 80 businesses employing over 500 people and working across a broad range of technological and creative disciplines. Opened in 1995 as a joint venture between the University and Wolverhampton City Council, the site has benefited from two previous expansions in 2000 and 2004.
Summit will be responsible for the complete design, supply, installation and commissioning of the Mains Distribution Systems, Containment Systems, Small Power Installations, LED Lighting and Emergency Lighting Systems with Automatic Controls and Daylight Dimming, External LED Lighting, Photovoltaic System, Data Installation, Fire Alarm System, Access Control System, CCTV Systems and Intruder Alarm System.
New Contract - Finham Park 2

Summit Electrical have been awarded the electrical design & build contract for the new Finham Park 2 School in Coventry by BAM Construction.
The site for the new school is on Torrington Avenue, the former Land Registry Office and will include a completely new built Sports Hall and Multi Use Games Area (MUGA).
Finham Park 2 will be a mainstream, non-selective, comprehensive school for students aged 11-18. The new academy will be built on traditional values. Pivotal to this will be a positive ethos and culture of learning and success for all students. There will be particular regard to outstanding achievement for all students whatever their academic starting point and a commitment to lifelong learning for all stakeholders.
Summit will be responsible for the complete design, supply, installation and commissioning of the Mains Distribution Systems which include a number of new LV Panels and Distribution Boards as well as Rising Busbars, Containment Systems, Small Power Installations, LED Lighting and Emergency Lighting Systems with Automatic Controls and Daylight Dimming, External LED Lighting, Photovoltaic System, Data Installation, TV System, Fire Alarm System, Access Control System, CCTV Systems and Intruder Alarm System. Electrically works start in March 2016 for an overall completion in March 2017.
New Contract - Primus Edge, Leicester

Create Construction have appointed Summit as the Electrical Contractors for the new build accommodation building, Primus Edge in Leicester.
In prime position for students, Primus Edge is located on Jarrom Street, and will provide a convenient and safe environment for students.
Primus Edge boasts 159 contemporary, fully managed studio apartments providing the next generation of student living with en-suite bathrooms and bespoke kitchens with contemporary appliances, hotel inspired reception area with IT pods, large HD TV, study spaces, laundry and bike storage.
Primus Edge is in prime location next to De Montfort University and 10 minutes from University of Leicester
New Contract - Audley Binswood

Summit Electrical have been awarded the electrical design & build contract for the third phase of apartments and cottages at Audley Binswood Retirement Village.
Audley Binswood Retirement Village is located in the heart of the Royal Leamington Spa conservation area. It’s a short walk from the fine shopping and leisure facilities of Leamington Spa, including the famous Pump Rooms.
The Grade II* listed Victorian Gothic Binswood Hall, formerly known as North Leamington College, has previously been beautifully restored and forms the centerpiece of the new retirement village of approximately 90 apartments, built to the usual exacting Audley standards and retaining all of the character and majesty of the original building.
Binswood Hall is also home to the Audley Club, with its own luxury health club, swimming pool, library, restaurant and bar/bistro.
Summit completed Phase 2, Brunswick House, at the beginning of December 2015.
The third phase, Walton Court, will bring stunning new-build apartments which will be available to move into in autumn 2016. This will create a selection of 1 and 2 bedroom properties that add to the centerpiece of this luxury retirement village, set within the heart of Royal Leamington Spa.
