Forest Gate Construction of Basildon, Essex have appointed Summit Electrical Installations Ltd as the Electrical Contractor for the Electrical Services at Congnita Schools, Canonbury Academy, Islington, London.

 

Summit are completing the works at the old Canonbury Academy and the adjoining Grade II listed King Edward’s Hall. It plans to offer education for pupils aged between 13 and 18. The school, to be called North Bridge House Canonbury, will be the first independent senior school in Islington.

 

The Project commencing May 2014 over two phases is a fast track programme with an overall completion date of December 2014, however the majority of the works will be completed within Phase One and handed over in August 2014.

 

Summit will be responsible for the Strip out works, the supply and installation of the new Mains Distribution, Containment Systems, Small Power Installations, Lighting and  Emergency Lighting Systems, External Lighting, Wireless Fire Alarm System, Intruder Alarm System, Access Control Systems, CCTV System, and Disabled Alarm System.




University of Worcester, Dining Hall

Speller Metcalfe Ltd have appointed Summit Electrical as the electrical contractor for the refurbishment of the Dining Hall at the University of Worcester.

 

The fast-track project involves the complete removal of existing and replacing with new high quality LED lighting, LED feature lighting, Emergency Lighting, Small Power Installations, Data Installation, Containment Systems, Fire Alarm System and Access Control System and starts on site at the beginning of May with a completion by the end of June.



University of Worcester, Vesta Tilley

Speller Metcalfe Ltd have appointed Summit Electrical as the electrical contractor for the refurbishment of the Student Halls Vesta Tilley Building at the University of Worcester.

 

The project involves the removal of existing and replacing with new high quality LED lighting, Small Power Installations, Data Installation, Containment Systems, Fire Alarm alterations and starts on site in June and will be ready for the intake of new Students in September.



University of Birmingham, Cryogenic Labs

J. Harper & Sons have appointed Summit Electrical as the electrical contractor for the refurbishment works at the University of Birmingham’s Chemical and Mechanical Engineering Buildings.

 

The project involves the isolation and strip-out of existing electrical services and installation of new Lighting Systems, Networked Emergency Lighting Systems, Containment Systems, Data Installation and Alterations to the Fire Alarm Systems and will begin in May with a completion date of August 2014.  



Coventry University, ACT-UK Building

Coventry University have appointed Summit Electrical as the electrical contractor for the refurbishment of the First Floor for the ACT-UK Building on the Technology Park.

 

The project involves the removal of existing and replacing with new Lighting Systems with Automatic Controls, Emergency Lighting, Small Power Installations, Data Installation, Containment Systems and Fire Alarm alterations. Employed directly by the University, Summit will be working alongside the building and mechanical contractors to ensure a smooth operation.

 

The project has been split in 2 phases to allow the University to keep scheduled bookings within the building. The first phase starts at the end of April with an overall completion in June.
